Frequently Asked Questions
What is Homecare? Why should I consider it?
Homecare is a service that allows you to receive assistance in your home with services such as: bathing, grooming, laundry, meals, providing companion services and more! Homecare services can be for a short period of time or can be lifelong. If you have Medicaid, you may qualify for services through case management agencies. If not, you can receive services through private pay. Private pay options allows for more personalization of your services. Medicaid wavier programs may limit what you can and cannot receive.
How do I find out about getting services through Medicaid?
You can research Elderly and Disabled Wavier Programs in the "State of Alabama" or other "States". Springs Homecare only provide services for the state of Alabama at this time. You also can contact our office to receive information about point-of-contact for medicaid services.
When can I expect my services to begin?
Do I have to live in my own home to recieve services?
Services can be provided even if:
-
you do not own your home
-
you do not live alone

Services can be expected to begin after a complete assessment is done by our nurse. Once this assessment is completed, you will be assigned a home care aide to perform services that you discussed during your assessment with the nurse. If you are on the medicaid wavier program, beginning of services will be coordinated between Springs Homecare and your case manager.
